Judy was a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology. She traveled the world teaching college credit courses at various US Military bases under the direction of University of Maryland. She also participated in cancer research. Her wishes were to have her body donated to LSU Health and Anatomical Services for research but unfortunately due to Covid was unable to follow that dream of hopefully moving one step forward for cancer research. So sorry to hear this. Judy was such a lovely lady, a great friend and great fun. Not to mention a great cook inthe Louisiana tradition! Fed me a couple of epic meals! I once sublet my apartment in Belgium to her for the summer while I was away and she was assigned the SHAPE. Thanks to her fluent French, she was a huge hit in our village- only three months there and she was an absolute celebrity! When she rotated out and I came back, everybody kept asking me when my mother was coming back again! Of course she wasn't my mother ( only nine years older than me), but it was like that anyway, she was everybody's mother. RIP Judy, they don;t make them liek you often.

I just read John's remembrance -- very nice! Judy was truly a special person -- her wit, her cajun-isms, her cooking, her kindness were just some of the characteristics that made her a celebrity in Jonh's village in Belgium... and, methinks, everywhere she went. I contacted her daughter who said she just missed the birth of her first great grandchild, and that she died in peace after many years of her cancer journey. If you were there when she introduced herself to the little general and called him 'Sugah' (think louisiana drawl), you can't forget Judy! Rest in peace gurl!
