OJILE CONSTANCE SUE OJILE On Wednesday, March 10, 2010, Connie Ojile of Arlington, Virginia, at home. She was born April 11, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, and moved to the Washington, DC area in 1980. She graduated with an advanced degree in anthropology from her beloved University of Michigan, and went on to work as a trainer in development and human resource issues for many private and public concerns, including the Peace Corp and the U.S military - Europe. She was president of Acorn International, a global consulting firm. A ballet enthusiast, avid reader, classic movie buff, and inveterate globe-trotter, Connie was a self-described "teacher, dancer, friend, traveler, and U-Michigan fan." She fought a grueling 14-year battle against leukemia chronicled in newspaper articles about the nation''s health care system. Connie is survived by her mother Luci Shadeed of Ontario; stepmother Billie Ojile, and stepsister Linda DeGroat of Flint MI, and loving friends and family. Virginia service is Sunday, April 11, 11am, at Wakefield Chapel, 8415 Toll House Rd, Annandale, VA. Michigan service is Saturday, May 8, 3pm, at Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 North Saginaw St., Flint, MI.
