My books Posted Thursday, April 23, 2015 07:45 PM Hello OMA Since retirng in 2012 I have turned to writing to fill the hole left by leaving the classroom. I have published five books so far via my own publishing company - called Lipa Publishing after the city in The Philippines where I now live. I publish as both paperback and eBook. The full list is: 1. Encounters with a Fat Chemist - an account of the two years I spent at a dysfunctional university in Northern Cyprus 2. Balikwas - How to Emigrate to The Philippines 3. What they don't tell you in college - How a new graduate can succeed in the workplace. Fiction : 4. ERASED! - A comedy about two unlikely self-employed suburban assassins 5. High Crimes and Low Stakes - set in the Balkans. A satire about university politics and drone warfare. I am finishing up a progarmming textbook called 'Java Quick and Easy' based on my lectures at a local Philippine university. Then I have a couple more projects in mind. If any OMA member would like a free eBook version of any of these, please contact me at payne_chris1331@yahoo.com.ph. Best wishes to all my old UMUC colleagues
