I ahve just published my latest novel - The Descent of Gustave K. It is a heady mixture of high finance, politics and human relationships, based loosely on the case of Dominic Strauss-Kahn, who was falsely accused of raping a hotel maid in 2012.

His arrest was carried in full public view and was transmitted aroiund the world. DSK was totally humiliated when he was forced to resign his position as Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund. The case against him collapsed, but not before DSK had lost everything - his position, his chance to become President of France, his ability ever to work again in the rarefied world of high international finance. His disgrace even led to the end of his marrage and the loss of many of his close friends.

My book presents the fictionalized hero, and the hapless chambermaid who was used to entrap him,  in a sympathetic light in this fast-moving story.
