In Memory

Fritz Logan

Fritz Logan, former academic coordinator for English in Asia, passed away on May 3, 2015. People wishing to contact Fritz's family can do so by emailing his daughter Erica at ericsson.logan@gmail.com or by writing to 3 Guilford Road, RD 21, Geraldine New Zealand 7991.  I know that he was widely respected and very well liked by his colleagues and students. (by Jerry Collins)

Fritz, bestowed his gift of love and light . He respected his colleagues, keenly loved his family and friends, and he was generous beyond the meaning of the word. Fritz was a giver, and he allowed people to love him as he was: Bright, audacious, inquisitive, intensely funny and fun. His electrifying tenderness touched everyone he knew. Fritz possessed authentic empathy and generosity. He left us as he lived with us: quick and lively, clever and loving: When words can no longer mend what has so quickly been taken, Unsullied moonlight shining on lavender fields replaces sorrow, making memories for a blessing to be. Fritz, may your memory for a blessing be. (by Laurie Kuntz)

I worked with Fritz on a Writers' Workshop, and read a draft of one of his novels.  A great talent and colleague--I'm sorry to hear he's no longer with us.
